Should You Go?

So unless if you have money to blow, a special occasion is most likely when you should go. The food is not cheap and the portions are well they're portioned all right. I say you're paying more so for the BEAUTIFUL view as your table rotates around Toronto's amazing view at night. I was kind of disappointed about the food to be honest. My salmon was lacking flavour (salt) and the mussels were probably the best part. The server was excellent and offered us coffee at the end (which was probably not out of courtesy but it was nice). The dessert was delicious and the atmosphere makes you feel richer than you are....until you see the hole in your wallet!

Should You Eat Here?

I personally find the Sussex Centre to be very classy and sophisticated. The atmosphere is made for relaxation, with dim lights, a lounge atmosphere and mature crowd. The service though is not very timely and sometimes be prepared to wait a bit. This location is nice for a night out with girls, or a date or even a boyfriend/girlfriend dine-out. The Erin Mills location is much brighter and sets the tone of a more family friendly eatery.

Orcel's

Filipino restaurants or take-outs are very hard to find around the GTA. I happened to stumble upon one located in Brampton. Whenever I have a craving for it I go straight to Orcel's and load up....on what I can.

Should You Go?

Okay so I love the food here because it brings me back through time. Obviously my grandparents cooking was better but for a dine-in joint it's pretty homemade, i mean like literally freshly prepared that day. There is a wide selection of items to choose from BUT you gotta ask what they are because they ARE NOT labelled. The people are somewhat friendly and are pretty stingy about the combos. DO NOT let them add noodles to your combo unless you are willing to pay $1 extra. There are other food items in the store you can bring home as well. Don't be fooled by the surrounding area or the look of the place the food is actually pretty darn good!

Heart Sushi

So this place just opened up a few months back and is pretty nice I must say. The place has an open feel and portrays elegance and class but still has a semi-casual feel. The food is delish!

Should You Go?

Let's go for sushi!!! The new age buffet is in town, order your food through an Ipad! The service is impeccably fast and the employees are welcoming and very friendly! I would definitely go back, there is no cut off as to how many dishes you can get. The one issue if I had any would be that when it's close to close they'll make sure to let you know. Other than that the food is GREAT, the sushi is fresh and the desserts are okay.

Should You Go?

If you are craving food food after a drinking night or are looking for some fast Chinese food, Tremendous is your go to. Dim sum is pretty cheap and main dishes are pretty affordable. Sometimes it makes you think though...hmmm...how did they make that so fast. The early morning atmosphere is filled with drunk party go-ers and people who work in the early mornings. It is weird sometimes because you see the odd couple tables with families at such strange hours but w.e. If you want Chinese and you are close to the Square One area, Tremendous is your place.

Should You Go?

Okay so it is open 365 days out of the year, but unless you're really craving dine-in it wouldn't be my first choice. They have a ton load of dessert from crepes, waffles, ice cream, cakes, fruits, candy, gelato and pastries but meh..The buffet selection is scarce and if you decide to go close to closing time whether it be lunch or dinner the food isn't really refilled. The lunch selection is not the same as dinner and the only thing thats made fresh in front of you is sushi. There are perks like 50% off on your birthday, Seniors day and Ladies night but really it's whatever. It says it offers a variety of different cuisines but don't expect authenticity. Check it out if you like.....

The Weekend

So from weekend food to weekend fun!

Sorry I've been M.I.A but so much to tell about a fun filled weekend....

Decided to go Go Karting at Formula Kartways which deemed to be pretty exhilarating...got the blood flowing for sure!

The next day was even MORE exciting as we went snowboarding!!! It was pretty exciting, painful and COLD, but all worth it in the end. If you're ever up for extreme sports and you're in Milton check out Glen Eden. Whether you are a skier, snowboarder, both or none the view is beautiful and they offer areas for beginner, intermediate or expert persons.

As for the FOOD situation, I'm sure you all know there aren't a lot of places open after hours. One place I don't mind driving to is....

The Grille

Should You Go???

If you're coming from a night out at a lounge or club or just out and about The Grille is there to serve you at any time of the day. I personally go for their all day breakfast. The portions are FILLING and it's probably one of my fav late night spots to eat at.

Should you go???

If you're looking for a quiet, laid-back type of eat, this place is NOT for you. It is very fast paced and VERY loud. After going a couple times....okay I lied...quite a few times I have learned to tap out the loud noise. If you haven't tried Hakka yet and you live within the area, this place is the best in Mississauga for its kind of food. Service is usually fast but during rush hours from 7pm-close, expect to wait just a bit. The food is definitely worth the wait time!

If you're on a budget best time to go is Lunch (11:30-2:30 pm). You're given a special lunch menu where you can choose dishes (of a GOOD portion) that come with soup and a veg spring roll...

ALL FOR $7.95 before tax!

Choose between the Chinese-Indian fusion or just Chinese (yes they have that too).  It'll be a great NEW and DIFFERENT experience for HAKKA newbies and a GREAT eat for Hakka lovers.
